Champaign, IL provides young children with countless opportunities to learn, play, and grow within a safe environment. We're looking for a
full-time Summer School Camp Assistant Teacher to join our seasonal program and help kids have fun while learning!
Depending on experience, you earn
$15.50 - $16.50/hour . You get to go on
daily field trips and lead children in

YOUR DAY As an entry-level Summer School Assistant Teacher, you work closely alongside your lead teacher to maintain a safe and controlled environment where children feel comfortable trying new things and developing new skills. You help out in the classroom with meal times, activities, and behavior control. When you go out on a field trip, you encourage the kids to participate and make sure they're behaving appropriately. You speak with parents about their child's day and help get the classroom ready for the next fun-filled learning adventure!
PROGRAM HOURS Our summer camp begins
Tuesday, May 27th and runs for 11 weeks until
Friday, August 9th. You need to be able to work for the entire program. Your first day is
Thursday, May 22rd (or sooner if possible).
REQUIREMENTS - 21+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Willingness to obtain a physical and TB test before you start working
- Heart for working with children aged six to twelve
Relevant experience would be preferred but isn't required.
