Our Client is seeking to hire a Principal Civil Structural Engineer with extensive experience on Modular Process Plant design and construction. Candidates for this position will be responsible for leading the process of defining and developing the scope of projects in a professional, cost and time efficient manner. The incumbent will write and executes project proposals and communicates project results to the strategic partners.
Major tasks & responsibilities:
This position will initiate and lead optimization/improvement opportunities in their area of responsibility. This position will lead projects for the various businesses with process technology and engineering expertise.
Identify and/or respond to requests from manufacturing and engineering to address process and/or product quality problems and areas of improvement. Propose solutions to engineering design related problems. This includes scope definition/control for plant modifications, small projects and mid-size/large projects as appropriate. Recommend innovative asset reliability and process improvements, in areas where little precedent exists.
Experience insuring projects are executed in an optimum manner with respect to safety, schedule, cost and quality. Problems must be addressed and solved from the first step of project definition and value engineering through detailed design, procurement, construction and plant start-up. Support & maintain as-built plant documentation and safeguard the documentation standards in their area.
Provides mentoring to other engineers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Structural Engineering with 12 + years of experience,
Master Degree in Civil Structural Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should have experience in a petrochemical process manufacturing or refinery manufacturing projects and/or pharmaceutical plant.
Candidate must have extensive experience with analysis/design and construction of modular process structures. This shall include transportation analyses and weight control.
The ability to work independently to develop and implement state-of-the-art solutions.
Demonstrated leadership and people with the ability to work well in a team setting.
Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively and promptly with all levels of the organizations.
Professional Engineer Certification for the State of Texas.
Familiar with STAAD-PRO, STAAD-Foundation and other Civil/structural analysis/design packages.
