Job Description

We make fiber-optic passive components and are looking for a new team member to join our production floor.

Shift: Day
Hours: 40 hours a week
Pay: Starting $19.00/hour

• Operate equipment and tools involved in the production and testing of fiber-optic components.
• Assemble fiber-optic components accurately according to specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform quality inspections at various stages of production to ensure components meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Handle, prepare, and manage raw materials used in the production process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote efficiency and safety.
• Record and document production data, inspection results, and relevant information accurately in production logs.
• Collaborate with engineers on experiments and testing to develop, analyze, or improve products.
• Assist in training operators in assembling and building fiber-optic components.
• Support small production teams by managing workflows and ensuring on-time delivery of manufactured and tested components.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.

Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum of a 2-year college degree in physics, engineering, or a related science field.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, processes, and skills.
• Strong team-oriented mindset with good communication and collaboration skills.
