Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA
Department Information Mechanical Maintenance
Job Summary Perform maintenance and repairs on all campus automobiles and vehicle equipment. Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade. Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
Responsibilities - Remove, install, diagnose, repair, disassemble, and assemble parts, components, and engines
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming at vehicle functionality and longevity
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks)
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep accurate logs on work and issues in CMMS
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
- Assist in the coordination of repairs that go to external vendors
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
- Two (2) years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education - Associate's degree or equivalent post-secondary education or formal technical training
Proposed Salary $19.15 - $21.56 per hour
