Job Summary:

The Product Development Assistant's is responsible for assisting in the development of all product categories from research to idea generation to sample production. This position will work with an internationally known swimwear brand.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with all fabric mills and trim vendors and assisting in communicating with overseas and domestic factories to ensure timely delivery of all sample materials, developments, and products.
• Act as liaison to designers and factories to ensure comments are communicated in a timely manner.
• Daily tracking on all development-related packages.
• Input data entry for raw materials into PLM system.
• Manage and maintain fabric and trim library and development records.
• Assist Fabric and Trim manager with seasonal fashion and market trend research.
• Assist with fabric and trim sourcing.
• Other duties as assigned by Sr. Product Development & Fabric Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• One to two years in product development preferred, swimwear/active
• Experience with Excel at an intermediate level required.
• Experience with tech packs/CADs, Adobe Photoshop, PLM a plus
• Must be detailed oriented and a quick learner.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
