The University of Tennessee Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) seeks applications for a Training & Development Consultant in its Knoxville office. MTAS is an agency of the University of Tennessee Institute for Public Service that provides technical assistance, consulting, training and research services for Tennessee towns and cities.
The Training & Development Consultant provides program design and curriculum development for all aspects of the MTAS training efforts. This position designs new programs, revises current programs, conducts, and markets programs, and continually looks for ways to innovatively distribute knowledge and improve skills for the municipal appointed and elected officials of Tennessee. This includes statewide, supervisory, customized training modules, retreats, organizational development, and web-based courses for the MTAS client base, which covers all municipalities and their various departments within the state of Tennessee. Performs other special project work as assigned.
