Summary:

Firebird Motorsports Park, Rawhide, Food & Music Festivals, Special Events, and all other sponsorship opportunities at Wild Horse Pass are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sponsorship Manager. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnership initiatives to secure partnerships with local, regional, and national businesses and brands in a fast-paced and diverse environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful sponsorship acquisition and relationship management, with decision making contacts, networking, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

Sponsorship Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship strategy to attract and retain sponsors for our venues and events through creating deliverables.
  • Identify and research potential sponsorship opportunities aligned with the venues' and events' brands and target audiences.

Relationship Management:

  • Solicit, cultivate, maintain, and grow relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring their deliverables, satisfaction, and maximizing engagement.
  • Coordinate all sponsor deliverables and fulfillment activities.

Prospecting and Negotiation:

  • Prospect, pitch, and negotiate sponsorship agreements through research and networking to new partners, leveraging the unique offerings and opportunities available through all our branding outlets.

Collaboration and Customization:

  • Collaborate with marketing and event teams to create customized sponsorship packages and activation plans tailored to the needs and objectives of each opportunity.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and track sponsorship performance, providing regular reports and analysis for measure ROI and identify areas for growth.

Industry Awareness:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in all sponsorship and marketing opportunities.

Representation and Networking:

  • Represent all our venues and events at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote sponsorship opportunities and build relationships with new potential sponsors.

Stakeholder Alignment:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align sponsorship efforts with overall business objectives and revenue targets.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage sponsorship budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts related to sponsorship revenue.

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and manage sponsorship contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contract negotiations and renewals to secure favorable terms for the organization.

Creative and Digital Development:

  • Work with the creative team to develop marketing materials and promotional content for sponsorship proposals and activations.
  • Integrate sponsorship initiatives with digital and social media campaigns to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Leverage digital platforms to track and report on sponsorship performance metrics.

  • Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis, in most weather conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.
  • Occasional local day travel, Local travel to managed businesses.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Entertainment Business, Arts Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years' experience in sponsorship sales, partnership development, brand development, or related roles, preferably in the sports/and or live music entertainment industry.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.
  • Valid AZ driver's license, provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report.
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.
  • A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
  • Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Event Management, Entertainment Business, Arts Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sponsorship sales and relationship management.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sponsorship plans.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and event management principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities.
  • Proficient in MS office and other relevant workplace tools.
