Position Title : Maintenance Technician

Wage : $25.00 - $33.00/Hour

Shift : 2nd Shift

Hours : 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM; Monday – Friday

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician at a company in Wheeling, IL. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now!

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities :
- Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to improve the Maintenance departments, premises and grounds
- Troubleshoot and repair die cast machine, trim presses, holding furnaces and other secondary equipment 
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks
- Bend / install conduits through 2”, including EMT and rigid types
- Install, replace, and repair motor controls, contractors, overloads, relays and limit switches
- Troubleshoot programs for controllers
- Complete paperwork and forms
- Work with subcontractors to complete projects on time

Requirements for Maintenance Technician :
- High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of technical school or at two years of experience working on die-cast machinery
- Formal training in hydraulics
- Experience with electro-mechanics, PLC programming, pneumatics
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel, PLC)
- Able to read electrical / hydraulic blueprints in English
- Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
