The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking is seeking a Senior System Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.


You will be joining the F-15 Systems Engineering Integration and Test Team (SEIT). As a member of the team, you will be responsible for integrating across teams to drive engineering excellence in the execution of our F-15 Domestic activities. Additionally, you will be focused on the SEIT role for Software Development and Advanced Programs activities within the F-15 Domestic portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Engineering Excellence: Responsible for integrating across teams to ensure safety, technical excellence, and product integrity. Drives adherence to Boeing and program processes, setting high standards for quality and performance.
  • Systems Engineering Approach: Ensure an integrated systems engineering approach. Take ownership to manage requirements and ensure full traceability. Manage the configuration of the integrated system to ensure dependencies are well understood. Responsible for ensuring comprehensive certification and verification activities, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with the United States Air Force (USAF), engineering functions, and program management. Leverage these partnerships to enhance collaboration and drive program success.
  • Manage Technical Baseline: Oversees the technical baseline, including configuration management, technical performance measures, and Risk Identification and Opportunity (RIO) assessments. Foster a culture of proactive technical oversight and continuous improvement.
  • Problem Solver: Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills by driving emerging issues to prompt resolution. Elevate concerns to management and program leadership as necessary. Investigate Problem Reports in partnership with Mission Systems to ensure a quality deliverable.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with technical experts and teammates to foster creativity, achieve program objectives, and build customer trust.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Master’s degree OR 4+ years of work-related experience with a PhD (level 4)
  • 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 12+ years of work related experience with a Masters degree OR 9+ years of work related experience with a PhD (level 5)
  • 3+ years of Systems Integration Experience (level 4) OR 5+ years of Systems Integration Experience (level 5)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience with the F-15 platform
  • 5+ years of experience working on Avionics systems
  • 5+ years of experience in developing Systems Requirements
  • Experience working with DOORS for requirements management
  • Experiencing working with USG customers

Typical Education/ Experience:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). Summary pay range:

Level 4: $119,850 - $162,150

Level 5: $147,050 - $198,950
