The Senior Legal Billing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of billing for legal services provided by the firm. This role includes preparing invoices, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and maintaining accurate billing records to support the firm’s financial operations.

Senior Legal Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Prepare and generate detailed invoices for legal services rendered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines
• Review and adjust billing entries as necessary, including time entries, expenses and disbursements
• Conduct thorough reviews of billing statements for accuracy, resolving discrepancies with attorneys and clients
• Collaborate with attorneys to clarify billing entries and address any client inquiries
• Act as a point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and issues
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of billable hours and expenses into the billing system
• Maintain compliance with firm policies and procedures related to billing practices

Senior Legal Billing Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of legal billing experience
• Aderant Software preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent professional communication skills
