Real Estate Analyst, Clerk and Administrative Assistant

Chicago-based, Commercial Appraisal Firm

Administrative Assistant / Real Estate Analyst to Appraisal Career Position with earning potential well into $200K per year.

Ideal Candidate is located near the Chicagoland area and has a genuine interest in real estate valuation.

Cole Consulting is an independent valuation and consulting firm that specializes in mid-size to complex commercial real property and projections ranging up to billions in lending dollars. The industry involves tasks that are highly variable and fast-paced.

The Ideal Candidate has a leasing or brokerage license, or an appraisal trainee. Ideal candidate enjoys administrative tasks, clerical tasks, challenges, errands, has an interest in real estate, brokerage or leasing, investment, analytics skills, writing, creative design and social media marketing. Analytical, detail oriented, excellent writing skills (journalism background a plus), finance or math science, computer savvy, capable of long sessions in excel or word to analyze data; entrepreneurial mindset, career-oriented.

Real Estate Analytics involves proficiency in math, writing and communication sciences. Only those with strong writing skill, attention to detail and typing speed should apply.

Tasks include, but are not limited to: Answering phone, office management, field inspection assistant, data entry, market analysis, write ups of area or market analysis, taking photographs, fact checking, editing and interviewing brokers, running errands, schedule keeping, data entry portions of real property appraisal, some errands related to property investment / management

Application Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 to 2 years administrative or narrative experience required
  • Strong foundation in English narrative
  • Capability of commuting to South Loop Chicago Office 5 days / per week.
  • Solid math and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, excel, word and internet browsers; Macintosh based
  • Typing speed beyond 35 wpm is required. *Please do not apply if typing speed is not at 35 wpm or greater
  • Real Estate Analytics is a hands-on industry that involves intense co-working with peers and supervisors. This firm is on-location training, only. Remote work is not offered.
  • Candidates who intend to relocate for this position should have a strong history of field experience, real estate brokerage licensure and / or completion of multiple licensure courses
