Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to direct and manage all operations in our food manufacturing facility. This role oversees production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality, with emphasis on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with proven experience in USDA and meat processing environments, capable of motivating staff while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operations Management: Direct all aspects of plant operations ensuring efficient production and quality
* Team Leadership: Manage full operational structure including maintenance, QA, warehouse, and HR
* Cost Control: Oversee plant costs regarding facilities and employees
* Process Improvement: Maintain workflow by monitoring and developing production processes
* Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce organizational standards
* Production Planning: Set shift schedules and manufacturing goals
* Staff Development: Lead recruitment, training, and performance management
* Equipment Oversight: Ensure proper maintenance and evaluation of new equipment
* Safety Compliance: Maintain USDA/FDA standards and safety protocols
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree required
* 5+ years management experience in USDA/FDA food manufacturing
* Extensive meat processing facility experience required
* HACCP certification preferred
* Strong food safety knowledge
* Proven leadership and team development abilities
* Experience in fast-paced production environments
* Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various temperatures
Compensation & Benefits:
* Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 based on experience
