Job Description:

Do you love to cook? Are you excited about making great food from scratch? Do you have great customer service skills? We are looking for someone dependable, hard working and detail oriented to join our small and devoted team. Pay range varies depending on work experience and ability to take over additional managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Make salads, soups and sandwiches on a daily basis
• Assist in menu planning based on seasonal ingredients
• Follow food safety guidelines
• Read and follow recipes accurately
• Keep your work area clean and organized in our small kitchen
• Monitor inventory to promote easy reordering of basic ingredients and supplies

Requirements:

• Experience preparing food in a restaurant, cafe, deli, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with hot and cold foods
• Work efficiently in a small kitchen space
• Work independently, be self motivated

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for long periods of time
• Reach overhead to take down / put away items on overhead shelves
• Frequently lift / carry up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift / carry up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally kneel / crouch
• Perform repetitive tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
