As a member of the IT Management Team , you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your team, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team’s strategic vision and plan, and ensuring that your team’s actions align with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.

As the Manager for the B2C Order Management System, the chosen candidate will lead product development and delivery of features in collaboration with the ECommerce Product Management team and B2C Business stakeholders in the US and Canada. The successful candidate will lead the team to achieve their OKRs for operational excellence by establishing systems observability, optimizing incident management, and ensuring 100% compliance of our SOX controls. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, the Manager works closely with the broader leadership team on product strategy development.

ROLE

3. ADMINISTRATION: Ensures proper department coverage (writing schedule and break aids if needed). Understands department budget, able to research and explain budget variances.
4. MANAGING PERFORMANCE: Coaches and mentors’ employees to provide support and guidance. Has regular open and honest conversations with employees to discuss work performance and career development. Identifies learning opportunities to strengthen employee knowledge, skill, and ability.
5. COMMUNICATION: Regularly shares information with employees via meetings and one-on-one conversations. Successfully navigates difficult conversations with employees, members, and suppliers. Listens, expresses empathy, and adapts to get points across. Addresses issues immediately to ensure a timely resolution and to avoid escalating the situation. Consistently demonstrates business knowledge during interactions with senior management.
6. SELF-MANAGEMENT: Demonstrates sound judgment, taking a partner when necessary. Ability to maintain self-control in the face of hostility or provocation or in intense, hectic situations.

10. Ensures the Order Management Systems are highly reliable and performant.
11. Oversees budgeting and regularly maintains portfolio finances.
12. Manages SOX controls.
13. Manages and aligns to product backlogs based on the organization's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
14. Maintains current knowledge of modern software delivery practices (i.e., release/deployment, code review, infrastructure as code, unit testing, and QA testing procedures).
15. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and design patterns as assigned (i.e., Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Back-end for Front-end, and Microservices Architectures).
16. Demonstrates an understanding of how to implement DevOps practices in a team environment.
17. Coaches and mentors’ employees on technical and career development.
18. This is a full-time management/leadership position (45+ hours per week).

REQUIRED

1. 3+ years’ experience leading software Development/Product Engineering teams.
2. 3+ years’ experience developing and deploying enterprise cloud services and web-based applications.
3. 3+ years’ experience working directly in an agile delivery environment with ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of agile delivery practices.
4. Possesses an executive presence, a high-level of professionalism, and a focused commitment to excellence.
5. Working experience with infrastructure as code building CI/CD pipelines, from a greenfield scenario.
6. Familiarity with common development frameworks (i.e. Javascript, node.js, .Net, and Powershell).
7. Ability to efficiently manage and coordinate responses to software application incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on end-users.
8. Extremely responsive, with a strong sense of urgency.
9. Able to support off hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities.
10. HIPAA Training and Supervisors Orientation (within 30 days of hire); Leadership Development 101 (within one year); Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion).

Pay Range: $137,000 - $200,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible.
