Job Description
Position: Live-in Housekeeper/Cook
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 12 8pm; Saturday: 7:30am 7:30pm (with 2-hour midday break) and Sunday: 8am 8pm (with 2-hour midday break)
Location: NYC (Upper East Side)
Accommodations: Private bedroom and bathroom on separate floor of townhouse
Salary: $100K with benefits
HNW family with 7-year-old child is seeking a Full-time Live-in Housekeeper/Cook for their 6-story townhouse in NYC (Upper East Side). You would be joining an existing staff.Candidates need to also be willing to travel with the family to their weekend homes in Orange County, NY and Southampton, NY.
Duties:
Cleaning and organizing, including care and maintenance of high-end furnishings and antiques
Daily tidying
Laundry and wardrobe management (washing, steaming, ironing, special care items)
Assist with packing/unpacking for travel
Organization of closets and home office spaces
Ability to cook simple family-style meals, including grocery shopping
Inventory management of household supplies
Running other errands as needed
Pet care (cats & small dog)
Work alongside second housekeeper to complete tasks
Occasional serving of dinner
Occasional childcare if coverage needed (age 7 pickup from activities, help with nighttime routine)
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a private housekeeper for a HNW family
Proficient in English and able to communicate easily (including via text)
Tech-savvy (able to operate smart home controls, order Ubers, and purchase groceries online)
Self-starter, physically fit (able to easily go up 6 flights of stairs)
Positive thinker, proactive, observant, able to work independently
Team mentality, able to be flexible as needed
Uniform required (white polo shirt and khaki or black pants; family will compensate for purchases)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally a plus (valid passport)
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Must have checkable references
Must pass background check
