The Role: Lateral Associate - Corporate - M&A/Private Equity | Houston, TX

We are seeking experienced associates from law school class years 2017 through 2020 (and potentially more senior) to join a highly regarded Private Equity team in Houston, TX. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work on sophisticated private equity transactions and corporate matters , providing significant responsibility and opportunities for professional growth.

This opportunity is with a premier law firm renowned for its leadership in private equity transactions and corporate M&A. The firm advises top-tier private equity funds, corporate clients, and institutional investors on acquisitions, dispositions, and other high-stakes transactions. Highlights include:
  • Transactional Expertise: Advising clients on acquisitions, minority investments, dispositions, and related corporate transactions.
  • Industry Insight: Deep experience in energy, technology, healthcare, and other industries.

In this position, you will:
  • Advise private equity funds and corporate clients on high-value acquisitions, dispositions, and investments.

  • Conduct thorough due diligence and manage deal workflows to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
  • Provide strategic guidance on market terms, regulatory issues, and corporate governance matters.

We are looking for candidates who bring the following qualifications and attributes:
Experience and Expertise
  • Experience: Law school graduate from 2017 to 2020 (and possibly more senior) with significant experience in M&A, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with corporate law, market terms, and industry-specific considerations.
Educational Credentials
  • Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with strong academic performance.
  • Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing or eligibility to waive into the Texas Bar.
