Part-Time Housekeeper Position (1 Day a Week)

Schedule: Part-time, 1 day a week (day flexible)

Location: Simsbury, CT

Salary: $35/hr

Overview:

A busy family in Simsbury, CT, is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a part-time position, working one day a week. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining fine homes and a strong understanding of household operations. This role requires someone professional, friendly, discreet, and highly trustworthy.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive housekeeping duties, including:
• Vacuuming, mopping, and overall floor care
• Dusting surfaces, furniture, knick-knacks, blinds, window ledges, and trim
• Hand-wiping wood furniture
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and vanities
• General laundry and basic clothing care (pressing, steaming)
• Handling family laundry and towels/bed linens
• Providing care for the family dog
• Adapting to a busy and ever-changing schedule
• Ensuring the home is always guest-ready
• Managing any permanent or temporary domestic staff
• Collaborating effectively with other household staff

• Proficiency in full-charge cleaning and pet care

• Formal training in housekeeping is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements:
