Health Information Technology Specialist

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Health Information Technology Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the electronic health records systems within our healthcare organization. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patient information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain electronic health records systems
- Train healthcare staff on how to use the electronic health records systems effectively
- Ensure patient information is securely stored and compliant with HIPAA regulations
- Troubleshoot technical issues with the electronic health records systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate health information technology systems with other healthcare systems
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in health information technology
- Provide support to healthcare staff in (Aurora, Kankakee, Champaign, Mendota, Harvard, Princeville) on utilizing health information technology for patient care. Travel required .

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist (CHTS) preferred
- Experience working with electronic health records systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
