Duties and Standards to Measure Workmanship and Quality:

  • Position is Non-Exempt as defined in the Employee Handbook
  • \n
  • Performs Assembly Operator duties when necessary in conjunction with Coordinator tasks with the ability to maintain consistent production to meet or exceed production times within an acceptable standard.
  • \n
  • Coordinators may start up to 30 minutes early each shift to be organized and properly prepared to assign tasks at start of normal shift.
  • \n
  • Responsible for coordinating work assignments within shift and maintains continual communication with other Coordinators, shifts and Floor Manager(s) to ensure schedule attainment and quality expectations are achieved.
  • \n
  • Prior Leadership experience is preferred.
  • \n
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and adherence to company polices.
  • \n
  • Facilitate training program as defined by the Assembly Department Manager.
  • \n
  • Ability to monitor training effectiveness and ensure only properly trained employees perform assigned tasks.
  • \n
  • Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
  • \n
  • Ability to effectively utilize and explain to employees department processes, policies, procedures and QMS database.
  • \n
  • Provides feedback on employee performance, policy compliance, personnel issues and process adherence to Floor Manager but does not perform supervisory duties involving reviews, discipline, etc.
  • \n
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of products produced in department, performs first piece inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
  • \n
  • Actively participates in assisting the company to meet continual improvement and QMS objectives, providing feed back to engineering and Assembly Dept Manager to improve processes and equipment.
  • \n
  • Completes assigned projects in a timely manner
  • \n
  • Ensures department employees are supplied with tooling, caps, screws, mount sticks, labels, fixtures, tools, boxes, jigs, labels, etc., by performing MRP transactions and completing requisitions.
  • \n
  • Participates in controlling inventory of backflushed items and ensuring packing department finished products are accurately accounted for.
  • \n
  • Ensures all work in process is properly identified.
  • \n
  • Responsible for the overall appearances of department (I.e. putting empty bins away, disposing of garbage, breaking down boxes, collecting scrap, overall department organization, and removing unused items from department, etc.)
  • \n
  • Reports safety related discrepancies and/or conditions for review and resolution ; material shortages, out of spec conditions, tooling problems, equipment failures, etc. to Floor Manager.
  • \n
